This is a rough live version of a song I wrote in 2015 around the season of Lent. The song serves as an invitation to the Lord's table (Communion) and to feast on the riches that God provides for us in Jesus Christ, our life and nourishment.

Draw near to the table
and eat of this bread;
For we are the hungry
and through Christ, we are fed.
Take, eat and remember
His body for you.
His death; our atonement.
His life is our food.

Draw near to the table
and drink of this cup;
For we are the thirsty
and Christ is enough.
Take, drink and remember
His blood, shed for you;
Poured out for our forgiveness,
our lives to renew.

Draw near to the table
proclaiming His death.
And all the more awaiting
when Christ comes again.
Come, sing and remember
His promise to you.
Lift up your hearts before Him.
"We lift them up to You."
Come, feast and remember
the table, yet to share;
When earth and heav'n united,
His Kingdom, prepared.
