lyrics

Call Me Out

In my mind I got it all figured out
And when I add it all up together it makes picture perfect sense
But when I come back to my senses I’m past the fringe of ignorance
So please remind me; Lord call me out

Cause you are there and I’m naïve to think that you don’t care
Surround my doubts and calm my fears and grant me the grace to stand
For it’s by your hand that I am even in this circumstance
For You are the Lord when I’m in the tempest or when I’m standing on dry land.

Lord, please define me, and not the things that I'm convinced of.
For in You alone can I find a refuge from whatever comes my way.
But when I come to the point of turning to the things that are familiar,
Lord, please confine me. Lord, call me out.

Cause you are there and I’m naïve to think that you don’t care
Surround my doubts and calm my fears and grant me the grace to stand
For it’s by your hand that I am even in this circumstance
For You are the Lord when I’m in the tempest or when I’m standing on dry land.

So when I finally come to trust You for more than what my eyes can see,
is when I stop with the speculations, and You begin to say to me:
"Where were you when I formed the mountains?
Where were you when I split the seas?
Where were you? Where were you?
So tell me, if you have understanding
Of how I fashioned all the stars
Of how I spoke to the mighty waters that “you can only come this far.
So in the midst of your tribulation, when in your heart you find disdain, don't forget that your situation is from the hand that has ordained to show I'm not just the God who's taken but I am still the God who gives, that you would know that you are not forsaken, for your Redeemer lives."
